Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to serve as the welding quality authority across projects. You will write and review welding quality programs, supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors, and approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications, coordinating with engineers and owners.

You will audit fabricators, resolve disputed indications with engineers of record, and represent the company on welding matters to building officials.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI, or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection including supervision of other inspectors.
• Experience writing welding quality programs for structural, industrial, or pipeline work.
• Strong ability to work with engineers, fabricators, and building officials.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects; review reports and calibrate calls.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; resolve disputed indications with engineers of record.
