Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Senior Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality across projects. You will write and review welding quality programs, supervise CWIs and Inspectors, and approve procedures and welder qualifications.

The role requires leading audits of fabricators and resolving disputed indications in collaboration with engineers of record. You will be the welding memory of the program, representing the company to engineers, owners, and officials on welding matters

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection leadership.
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.
• Experience writing welding quality programs for structural, industrial, or pipeline work.
• Credible interaction with engineers, fabricators, and building officials.
• Ability to write procedures people can follow.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans and procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects.
• Review reports and calibrate their calls.
• Approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualification packages.
• Witness or direct procedure qualification testing.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems.
• Represent the company in welding quality reviews.
