Job summary

Guidant Measurements in Erie, PA is seeking a Welding & Fabrication Specialist to support welding, fabrication, inspection, and manufacturing processes at the Erie facility.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Procurement to resolve manufacturing challenges, drive continuous improvement, and serve as a technical resource for weld inspections and training.

This full-time role requires a strong background in welding codes and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing, fabrication, welding, quality, or inspection activities.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing, industrial fabrication, or machining environments.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and manufacturing process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve welding and fabrication procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with weld codes, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Provide technical support for welding, fabrication, and inspection activities.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost safety, quality, and throughput.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and vendor assessments.
