Job summary

Anduril Industries’ Maritime team is seeking a Welding Engineer to own welding procedures and qualification programs, ensuring compliance with AWS, ASME IX, MIL-STD, and NAVSEA standards on critical defense hardware.

You will lead root-cause analyses, specify materials and welding techniques for diverse metals, and guide fabrication teams with hands-on direction while driving continuous process improvements on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on welding engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience developing and qualifying WPS, PQR, and WPQ documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, and maintain WPS, PQR, and WPQ for Maritime production.
• Ensure welding operations meet AWS, ASME IX, MIL-STD, NAVSEA standards.
• Lead root-cause analysis on weld defects and implement corrective actions.
• Specify base metals and welding techniques for aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and carbon steel.
• Direct NDT and destructive testing to validate weld quality.
• Optimize welding parameters and provide hands-on guidance.
• Drive continuous improvement across welding operations.
