Hatfield Metal Fabrication, Inc. in Poughkeepsie, NY, is seeking a Senior Welder to join our fabrication team.

You will weld carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum to tight tolerances, read blueprints, and work from detailed fabrication drawings with minimal supervision. The role requires 5–10 years of welding/fabrication experience, proficiency in MIG/TIG, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of welding and fabrication experience in a job shop/manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding.
• Solid understanding of fabrication tolerances and best practices.
• Experience with ASME code work or pressure vessels is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols.

Responsibilities

• Weld using MIG and TIG on carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum according to job specs.
• Read blueprints and fabrication drawings with accuracy.
• Fabricate complex weldments with minimal supervision.
• Inspect work to ensure internal standards and customer specs.
• Assist in jig setup, fitting, and tack welding.
• Support welder qualification and ASME code procedures as needed.
• Help train junior welders and apprentices.
