Qualifications

• Welding trade school certification or 3 years MIG/TIG experience.
• Pass a weld evaluation (MIG & TIG).
• Read blueprints and drawings; interpret symbols and tolerances.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Thorough understanding of MIG/TIG processes & machine settings procedures.
• Read, understand, and detect errors in the weldment and fabrication drawings; lay out, assemble, tack, and weld to the drawings.
• Operate vertical and horizontal band saws, and drill presses.
• Operate a plasma cutter and acetylene torch.
• Cut, drill, and deburr material using drawing instructions and blueprints.
• Work safely and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ensure that all work meets or exceeds quality specifications.
• Keep work area clean, maintain tools and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
