Rodney Hunt Company in Massachusetts is seeking a Welder IV to join our fabrication team. This senior role serves as SME in welding, fabrication, and industrial assembly. The Welder IV partners with Engineering and Operations to ensure products meet quality, design, and regulatory requirements.

The Welder IV leads complex welding projects, mentors Welders I-III, and drives continuous improvement in tooling and processes while upholding safety standards in our shop environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8+ years of advanced industrial welding and fabrication experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Expert proficiency in MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) welding.
• Mastery of blueprint reading, geometric measurements, and weld symbol interpretation.
• Ability to perform and pass advanced welding qualification tests.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop others in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Non-DOT physical examination completed to verify ability to perform essential functions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Responsabilidades

• Perform expert-level MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on diverse materials.
• Lead fabrication and assembly of large, complex structures for water control systems.
• Interpret and validate blueprints, drawings, weld symbols for design compliance.
• Determine welding methods, procedures, and parameters for quality and safety.
• Conduct advanced weld inspections and verify weld quality by standards.
• Troubleshoot complex fabrication issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Serve as technical resource and guide welding techniques and equipment setup.
• Lead training and mentoring for Welders I-III.
• Collaborate with production leadership to identify process improvements.
• Oversee safe rigging, lifting, and movement of large assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Support prototype development and continuous improvement initiatives.
