Job summary

You will mentor Welders I-III, refine welding procedures, and drive process improvements while maintaining a safe work environment and supporting prototype work as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years advanced welding and fabrication experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Expert proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
• Mastery of blueprint reading and weld symbol interpretation.
• Able to pass advanced welding qualification tests.
• Lead, mentor, and develop others in a manufacturing setting.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Successful completion of a Non-DOT physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert-level MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various materials.
• Lead fabrication and assembly of large, complex structures.
• Interpret and validate blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
• Determine welding methods and parameters for quality and safety.
• Inspect welds using visual methods and standards.
• Troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues; propose corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on welding techniques and equipment setup.
• Lead training for Welders I-III and collaborate with production.
• Oversee rigging, lifting, and movement of large assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Support prototype development and continuous improvement initiatives.
