Job summary

Rodney Hunt is seeking a Welder IV to serve as SME in welding, fabrication, and industrial assembly. You will provide technical leadership, set quality standards, and support workforce development.

This role requires expert MIG, TIG, and Stick welding across diverse materials, plus the ability to read blueprints, select processes, and mentor junior welders. You will collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure safe, compliant production, and participate in continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 8+ years of advanced industrial welding and fabrication experience.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Blueprint reading and weld symbol interpretation required.
• Ability to pass advanced welding qualification tests.
• Experience mentoring welders and leading teams.
• Must pass a Non-DOT physical examination.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and endure physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert-level MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on multiple materials.
• Lead fabrication and assembly of large, complex structures.
• Interpret blueprints and weld symbols to ensure design compliance.
• Determine welding methods, procedures, and parameters.
• Inspect welds using visual methods and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot welding issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide welding guidance and basic training to welders.
• Collaborate with production leadership to drive improvements.
• Oversee rigging, lifting, and movement of large assemblies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Support prototype development and continuous improvement.
