Job summary

Team Georgia is seeking a skilled technician to provide advanced-level technical support across areas including OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, planning, utilities, surveying, environmental or traffic at assigned facilities. Responsibilities include welding, repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections of structural, plumbing, and electrical systems under broad supervision.

Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or GED with one year of experience; post-secondary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of experience at position equivalent.
• Knowledge of procedures and equipment to enhance work process efficiency.
• Ability to read plans, standards, specifications and building codes.
• Ability to measure quantities and perform basic mathematical calculations for materials.
• Ability to receive and respond to verbal instructions and communicate clearly.
• Ability to make well-informed decisions and demonstrate ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

• Performs welding, construction, repairs, preventive maintenance and inspections of physical structures, plumbing fixtures/hardware, and electrical devices at assigned facilities.
• May supervise the activities of non-permanent staff.
