Job summary

OEM, Inc. in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will perform MIG and TIG welding, primarily on aluminum and mild steel, and fabricate components from drawings with precision.

The ideal candidate has strong fabrication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team; prior professional welding experience is required and safety standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in both MIG and TIG welding (Mild steel and Aluminum).
• Ability to read drawings and fabrication instructions.
• Previous professional welding or fabrication experience required.
• Good attention to detail and workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding as required for daily production.
• Weld and fabricate components according to drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Produce clean, consistent, and structurally sound welds.
• Fit, position, and assemble components prior to welding.
• Measure and verify parts using common measuring tools.
• Grind, clean, prep, and finish welded components when necessary.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, appearance, and quality.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work with other members of the manufacturing team to complete projects efficiently.
• Follow company safety procedures and production standards.
