Job summary

PING, Inc. in the Phoenix metro area is seeking a Senior Welder to perform welding, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric equipment in support of Manufacturing Engineering Equipment and Facilities Metal Structures.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 years of welding experience and is proficient in GMAW and GTAW; relocation assistance and a Phoenix-area residence are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years welding experience or an equivalent education/experience combination.
• Current Arizona Driver's License.
• Forklift Operations Certificate.
• Proficiency in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions, prints, and work orders; plan details of procedure, tools, and material requirements.
• Collaborate with the sheet metal fabrication team to optimize bending and welding.
• Maintain Fabrication Project Tracker.
• Fabricate equipment by cutting, burning, and welding metals.
• Maintain engineering tolerances to ensure wear/tear performance.
• Repair equipment using welding techniques and appropriate equipment.
• Dismantle or cut up obsolete machinery; set aside parts for scrap.

PING, Inc. is seeking a Senior Welder that will be responsible for performing welding, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment in support of Manufacturing Engineering Equipment and Facilities Metal Structures.. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

YOU WILL

• Receive instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements.
• Work with the Sheet Metal fabrication team to determine best path to fabricate sheet metal components and assemblies. Optimizes fabrication for sheet metal bends and welding.
• Maintain Fabrication Project Tracker.
• Fabricate equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
• Maintain engineering tolerances to ensure wear and tear performance on equipment to be welded.
• Repair equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
• Use burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Be assigned to dismantle or cut up obsolete machinery, setting aside parts for scrap dealer.

YOU HAVE

• High School Diploma or GED or completion of formal apprenticeship program, plus a minimum 6 years’ welding experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current Arizona Driver's License.
• Forklift Operations Certificate.
• Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
• Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
• Proficiency in surface preparation, set up, and sequence of welding components for proper alignment. Proficient with the disassembly process of components that reach end of life that require restoration and repair through welding.
• Demonstrated experience in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Gas Tugsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
