Job summary

Intent Design LTD in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior WebMethods Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable integration solutions using WebMethods.

The role focuses on building REST and SOAP services, integrating enterprise applications, and creating microservices with Spring Boot. Onsite in Indianapolis with senior leadership and complex retail integrations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise integration experience with WebMethods.
• Experience leading Retail EDI integrations and Order-to-Cash processes.
• Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, Java, and microservices.
• Experience with IBM WebMethods and EDI X12 transactions (850,855,856/857,810,820,997).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using WebMethods (Integration Server, Designer, Broker/UM).
• Develop and maintain REST and SOAP web services and APIs.
• Integrate enterprise applications and third-party systems using WebMethods.
• Manage and monitor integration workflows to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of integration services.
• Implement best practices for API security, scalability, and governance.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain proper documentation for integration flows, APIs, and processes.
• Support deployment activities and ensure smooth releases across environments.
• Develop microservices using Spring Boot for lightweight integrations.
• Build and expose RESTful APIs using Spring Boot frameworks.
• Collaborate in modernizing legacy integrations using microservices architecture.
• Assist in integrating Spring Boot services with WebMethods platform.
• Ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability of Spring Boot applications.

Minimum Requirements

• WebMethods development, Handling EDI X12 Transactions (850,855,856/857,810,820,997)
• Retail Vendor Integrations Webmethods core development, REST/SOAP APIs, EAI, messaging (JMS/UM), API integration, troubleshooting, Java, API management, performance tuning, Git and communication skills
