Job summary

Sleeper in San Francisco is seeking an accomplished frontend engineer to enhance our fantasy sports web product. You’ll own features from drafts to live scoring, focusing on performance, scalability, and a fast, fluid user experience for millions of daily users.

Built with React and TypeScript, Tailwind, React Query, and Next.js, you’ll ship high quality UI at pace. You’ll collaborate with design, iterate on interactions and animations, and own components end-to-end while shaping product

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web application development with React as primary framework.
• Experience owning a large-scale, consumer-facing application.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Write clean, maintainable code using React, TypeScript and related libraries.
• Build fluid, responsive interfaces with animation and gesture focus.
• Troubleshoot performance, sockets, data caching and issues.
• Develop reusable UI components with a clear hierarchy.
• Integrate front-end with back-end services via REST/GraphQL.
• Stay updated on React, web practices, and accessibility.
