Job summary

SoundCloud, a leading music platform, seeks a Senior Web Engineer to own the fan monetization web surfaces for desktop and mobile. You will craft high-quality experiences for millions of users, collaborating with product managers, designers, and distributed engineers across London, Berlin and beyond.

Bring 4–6+ years of experience in TypeScript/React, with a strong focus on performance, accessibility, and modern tooling like Next.js and Vite.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of professional experience building modern, large-scale web applications using TypeScript and React.
• Solid knowledge of web performance optimization, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
• Experience leveraging AI development assistants to optimize productivity, code quality, and exploration.
• Strong user focus and curiosity about the 'why' behind the code, not just the 'how'.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain user-facing web features on SoundCloud's desktop and mobile web surfaces.
• Embrace AI tools to accelerate coding, reviews, and testing frameworks safely and responsibly.
• Partner with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and distributed teams across London, Berlin, and beyond.
• Participate in technical design, architecture reviews, and roadmap planning for scalable web stack.
• Optimize performance, debug cross-browser issues, and advocate for accessibility and frontend metrics.
