Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group is seeking an Web Application Architect to lead design and delivery of complex software across React microfrontends and TypeScript services. You will influence architecture, automate infrastructure with IaC, and drive cross-team initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

You will own API design, data-layer abstractions, and observability, while mentoring teams and ensuring robust quality through Jest, Playwright, and k6 tests. Arlington, VA onsite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development and delivery of commercial applications.
• Strong leadership and Agile/Scrum with DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with AWS, serverless patterns, and microservices.
• Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript and React 18.
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver high-quality, scalable applications.
• Lead cross-team reviews and influence architectural decisions.
• Develop features across React microfrontends and serverless services.
• Implement and maintain tests (unit, integration, E2E).
• Collaborate with product teams and architects on APIs and data models.
