Job summary

WHOOP is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our hardware team in Boston. You will lead system-level engineering across Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, and Product disciplines to ensure robust wearable hardware designs.

Responsibilities include defining requirements, performing verification, and guiding architecture reviews. Travel up to 15% is required as we collaborate with partners and suppliers. Competitive base salary with equity is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrical systems engineering, hardware design, or related domain.
• Proven expertise in electrical system architecture and integration.
• Strong cross-disciplinary understanding of electrical, firmware, and mechanical domains.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities for wearable hardware programs, aligning requirements, architecture, and execution.
• Define and manage system requirements, interfaces, and technical documentation across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate across Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Signal Processing, and Product teams.
• Develop verification and validation strategies with defined test protocols and metrics.
• Participate in architecture reviews and provide technical recommendations.
• Identify risks and drive cross-functional resolution.
• Mentor engineers and potentially take on leadership as the team grows.
• Travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
