Shield AI is seeking a Weapons Systems Engineer in San Diego, CA to lead the integration and operational deployment of advanced weapon capabilities on X-Bat. This role is critical for mission readiness and requires a Bachelor's in engineering, with 5+ years' experience in military aerospace or related fields.

The engineer will be responsible for system behavior definitions, integration, and testing. The compensation ranges from $170,000 to $250,000 per year, complemented by a bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in military aerospace, mission systems, avionics, or weapon systems integration.
• Familiar with MIL-STD-1760, MIL-STD-1553, and hardware/software integration.
• Ability to obtain a S//SAR level security clearance desired.

Responsibilities

• Define weapon system behaviors and mission workflows.
• Develop system architectures and interface definitions.
• Lead integration of weapon systems with various teams.
• Support test activities to validate system behavior.
• Perform troubleshooting and develop corrective actions.
