Job description

The Financial Advisor is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their own field and contributes to the company's strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. They are recognized as a technical authority within their area, requiring basic commercial awareness. Typically, multiple individuals within the business provide similar subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are necessary to guide, influence, and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. The role has a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables and provides advice related to the technology or operations of the business. Their work impacts an entire area, ultimately affecting the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function or job family.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide a wide variety of financial and investment services to an Ultra high Net Worth client base in the United States.
  2. Manage accounts of high net worth investors and develop financial strategies with Private Bankers.
  3. Conduct sophisticated economic and financial market analyses.
  4. Analyze economic trends and advise on their effects on investors' portfolios.
  5. Recommend changes to investors' holdings based on evaluations of economic, financial, and market factors.
  6. Adhere to a prospecting code of conduct, which permits acquiring new private client accounts only by referral or personal contact, and prohibits seminars, mail campaigns, cold calling, and other solicitation methods.
  7. Develop relationships and generate ideas with Bankers and clients to grow the asset base.
  8. Assess risk appropriately in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and maintaining ethical standards.
Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of experience
  • NYSE Series 7 and 66 licenses, with additional licenses as needed
  • Proficiency in software applications like Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong financial background
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
