Position Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Investment Advisor who brings deep financial expertise and a proven track record in client relationship management to play a key role in growing our investor community.
You’ll focus on Existing Investor Growth, managing a client base of established investors and driving repeat investment through proactive outreach, annual portfolio reviews, and strategic presentation of new investment opportunities – growing investor lifetime value and wallet share over time.
In this role, you'll combine expertise in financial markets, portfolio construction, and macroeconomics with strong relationship skills to deliver an exceptional investor experience. No art background needed. We provide comprehensive training on the art market, art as an asset class, and Masterworks investments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to investors, delivering consultative guidance on blue-chip art as an alternative asset
- Own and grow an established base of HNW clients by conducting portfolio reviews, presenting new investment opportunities, and driving investment decisions with confidence and credibility.
- Build deep, long-term relationships with a sophisticated investor base to increase investment activity and lifetime value
- Use CRM tools and data dashboards to manage pipeline, outreach strategy, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Finance Operations on specific business objectives
Team Overview
- Masterworks Advisers is a growing RIA with a team of advisors primarily from traditional wealth management backgrounds. Senior Advisors are expected to lead by example, model excellence, and raise the bar for the broader team.
Licensing
- Already hold a Series 65 or Series 66? Great. If not, we'll support you in earning your Series 65 within your first 60 days of employment (typically 20 to 40 hours of study). Masterworks covers the cost of the exams and study materials. As a regulated entity, licensing is required.
Requirements & Preferred Skills
- 7+ years of relevant experience in investment or financial advisory roles (financial advisor, wealth advisor, private client advisor), wealth management, or a similar client-facing role
- Demonstrated success developing relationships with sophisticated investors and converting those relationships into meaningful capital commitments
- Ability to communicate with sophistication, authority, and professionalism with high-net-worth investors, both verbally and in writing
- Deep interest in alternative assets, financial markets, and macroeconomics
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, relationship-building, and time management skills
- Proven ability to lead and perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- CRM experience strongly preferred (e.g., HubSpot)
- Art market knowledge is a plus, but no prior art experience is required
