Job description

About the Opportunity:

Our client is a boutique wealth management firm in the Boston area, serving high-net-worth individuals and families throughout New England.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Wealth Advisor to step into an established group of client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor across all areas of their financial lives.

This is not a traditional business development role. There is no expectation to build a book from scratch or spend your time cold prospecting. Instead, you'll focus on serving existing clients, delivering thoughtful financial planning, and building relationships that naturally lead to referrals.

The firm takes a comprehensive, planning-first approach, bringing together investments, retirement, tax strategy, estate planning, and family considerations to help clients make better financial decisions.

For someone who enjoys the relationship side of wealth management but also wants to stay involved in sophisticated planning, this is an opportunity to do both.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary advisor and relationship manager for an established group of high-net-worth clients
  • Lead client meetings and develop deep, long-term relationships with individuals and families
  • Deliver comprehensive financial planning across retirement, investments, estate planning, tax strategy, and other areas of a client's financial life
  • Help clients navigate major life events and complex financial decisions
  • Identify tax-aware planning opportunities and collaborate with CPAs and other professional advisors when appropriate
  • Partner with internal planning, investment, tax, and operations professionals to provide a seamless client experience
  • Help clients implement their financial plans and stay accountable to their long-term goals
  • Strengthen existing relationships and generate organic referrals through exceptional client service
  • Contribute ideas and expertise to a collaborative, growing wealth management team

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for an experienced wealth management professional who enjoys both the technical and personal sides of financial planning.

You may be a strong fit if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, or a similar advisory role
  • Have experience serving high-net-worth individuals and families
  • Are comfortable leading client relationships and complex planning conversations
  • Have a strong understanding of comprehensive financial planning and wealth management strategies
  • Understand how taxes impact investment, retirement, charitable giving, estate, and other planning decisions
  • Enjoy collaborating with CPAs, attorneys, and other professional advisors
  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients
  • Prefer relationship management and planning over cold prospecting and traditional sales
  • Are comfortable asking for referrals as a natural extension of strong client relationships
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment

Licenses & Certifications:

  • CFP® designation is preferred. Candidates who are actively pursuing the CFP® will also be considered.
  • Series 7 & 63, or willing to obtain.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is an opportunity to join a boutique firm where you can focus on what many advisors enjoy most: working closely with clients and helping them make thoughtful financial decisions.

You’ll have an established client base, a collaborative team around you, and the ability to provide truly comprehensive advice without the pressure of building a book through cold prospecting.
