Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager for its Houston operation. The role focuses on managing municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects and supporting clients across the Greater Houston region.

You will lead multidisciplinary engineering and design teams, oversee budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables, and coordinate pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities, and related infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer license in Texas, or ability to obtain one.
• Municipal water or wastewater engineering experience.
• Experience managing infrastructure projects and project teams.
• Knowledge of water distribution, wastewater collection, treatment or conveyance.
• Strong client-management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Existing Houston area client relationships would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects
• Oversee project budgets, schedules and technical deliverables
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering and design teams
• Coordinate the design of pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities and related infrastructure
• Maintain relationships with municipal and utility clients
• Review plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates
• Support proposals, interviews and business-development activities
• Mentor junior engineers and support growth of local team
