Job summary

Slayden Constructors Inc. (SCI), a subsidiary of MWH Constructors, Inc., seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the Portland metro area.

You will oversee safety, client relationships, financial results, schedules, procurement, risk, and team development. You will guide multidisciplinary project teams, mentor Project Managers and Engineers, and act as the primary contact for clients, design partners, subcontractors, and other

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent combination of construction experience, training, and education may be considered.
• 10–15 years of progressive construction management experience, preferably heavy civil/water/wastewater infrastructure.
• 5+ years direct experience delivering water/wastewater treatment plant projects or similar complex infrastructure.
• Experience leading large, multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience managing projects through preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning/startup, and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and accountability for planning, execution, and financial performance of large water/wastewater projects.
• Lead Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field personnel, setting clear expectations and driving accountability.
• Staff key project positions in coordination with operations and leadership.
• Establish objectives, strategies, policies, and performance standards.
• Maintain strong client relationships and pursue opportunities to expand work.
• Oversee preconstruction activities including estimating, scheduling, procurement planning, and risk identification.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, procurement, and delivery.
• Lead contract administration and procurement for major subs and equipment.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic project planning and organizational initiatives.
