Stantec is seeking a Water/Wastewater Senior Project Manager to lead planning and engineering design of water and wastewater infrastructure in Laurel, Maryland. You will supervise design professionals, drive project scope, budget, and schedule, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects for public and private clients.

The role emphasizes leadership, business development, and client relationship building, with opportunities to mentor staff, support proposal

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
Minimum 15 years related experience in project management, preferably water/wastewater.
PE licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months; PMP a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of design professionals and technicians.
Mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams.
Lead business development activities and develop long-lasting client relationships.
Prepare and review proposals; coordinate with multiple business lines.
Interface with clients, regulators, and project stakeholders; present findings.
Develop project management plans; manage budget, scope, and schedule.
Perform complex engineering design tasks including calculations, sizing, and drawings (BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs).
Support QA/QC and permitting processes; contribute to project governance.
