Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Water/Wastewater to lead municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through construction support. The role requires strong technical leadership across collection systems, pump stations, distribution systems, and treatment processes, with hands-on involvement in onsite meetings and travel across Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline; 10+ years of related work experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering and project management.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing client relationships.
• Strong understanding of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure design and delivery.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project resources effectively.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to attend onsite meetings and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through design, permitting, procurement, and construction support.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders.
• Lead project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management activities.
• Oversee and coordinate technical teams involved in: collection systems, pump stations, water distribution systems, water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and relationship management.
• Attend onsite client meetings, coordination meetings, and field visits as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and client standards.
• Provide mentorship and direction to junior engineers and project staff.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Monitor project performance and proactively resolve issues that may affect delivery.
