Job summary

Inframark is seeking a skilled Structurer/Estimator to join our Water & Wastewater Operations team in Massachusetts. In this mid-level role, you will prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for a range of projects and work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to support bidding, planning, and successful project execution.

You will analyze cost structures, materials, labor, and compliance requirements, helping drive cost optimization, budgeting, and procurement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in estimating, cost structuring, or related roles, preferably in water and wastewater.
• Deep understanding of water and wastewater system performance, regulatory frameworks, and cost structures.
• Analytical skills to interpret technical documents and project plans for accurate estimates.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teams and presenting estimates.
• Experience with estimating software (ProEst, Sage Estimating) and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate objectives into detailed cost estimates.
• Develop zero-based cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and operations, including variable factors.
• Interpret permits and SLAs to ensure estimates reflect compliance and risk.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities through materials, labor, and process improvements.
• Contribute to budgeting, pricing adjustments, and competitive proposals.
• Maintain cost databases and templates for pricing and cost control.
• Engage with vendors to verify data and negotiate pricing.
• Create structured cost proposals for bidding processes.
• Review specifications to ensure accuracy of estimating scope.
