Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. in Wilmington, Delaware seeks a Water/Wastewater Engineer at mid-to-principal level to lead major water/wastewater infrastructure programs from concept through completion.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and deliver innovative, sustainable solutions while engaging clients and regulatory agencies. PE license and 8–20 years of experience are required; bachelor’s in civil engineering, master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 8–20 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of water/wastewater projects from concept through completion by developing advanced designs, reports, and contract documentation.
• Provide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues across multiple teams.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project phases with engineering and project management teams.
• Mentor and perform technical reviews for junior staff.
• Conduct engineering studies and prepare reports for leadership, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare technical proposals and external presentations for clients and regulators.
