Job summary

Parametrix, Inc. is seeking a Civil or Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team in the Pacific Northwest. You will support planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater pump stations for local agencies.

Hybrid work options are available across Portland OR and WA sites (Seattle, Puyallup, Silverdale, Spokane). The role includes mentorship of junior engineers and pursuing WA or OR PE licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years designing or delivering municipal water and wastewater pump station projects.
• WA or OR Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, rehabilitation, and improvement of municipal water and wastewater pump stations and related infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical memoranda, reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other design deliverables.
• Evaluate existing pump station conditions, system capacity, equipment performance, and operational needs.
• Support the selection and design of pumps, piping, valves, mechanical systems, and related facility improvements.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, civil, instrumentation and controls, and architectural disciplines to develop integrated project solutions.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and help mentor developing engineers and technical staff.
