Job summary

Kurita America, part of the Kurita Group, is seeking a Senior Designer to support engineering teams in designing process and equipment drawings and ensuring quality standards on projects in Minneapolis, MN.

The role combines design work with collaboration across project teams; requires CAD experience (SolidWorks) and strong attention to detail. Hybrid schedule (Day shift) with responsibilities across drawings, diagrams, and interfacing with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of water treatment or industrial equipment design experience such as skid or plant piping layout.
• Two year Associate Degree, technical field preferred.
• 3+ years of CAD experience such as SolidWorks.
• Physical and Mental requirements: Required to sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Reviews Sales proposals, estimates, quotes, customer plans and specifications to establish project requirements and creates designs and prepares engineering drawings with oversight
• Work with project team to review customer requirements for equipment size, function and process design to assure proper drawing representation with oversight.
• Create Process & Instrumentation Diagrams that captures components, hydraulics, chemical feed, electrical, etc. for use by project team and customer
• Create General Arrangement Drawings that are used to communicate critical design details to the project team and customer
• Create fabrication/installation/assembly drawings for use by internal production team and external fabricators and contractors
• Ensure manufactured equipment conforms to project requirements and standard design.
• Assist Purchasing with the qualification process for new suppliers
• Assist in the development of new standard product offerings.
• Performance of other duties as assigned.
