Job summary

Arcadis, the world’s leading design, engineering and consultancy, seeks a Water Sector Account Executive to drive growth in Northern California’s water portfolio. You will support Account Managers, expand services to municipal utilities, and advocate for client value across complex water, wastewater, and stormwater markets.

This role requires deep market knowledge, strong leadership, and proven ability to deliver results with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in water/wastewater/recycled water/stormwater project management or related leadership roles.
• BS degree in Civil/Environmental/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• CA Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain in six months.
• Established relationships with municipal water, wastewater, recycled and stormwater agencies in Northern California.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement portfolio growth strategies aligned with Sector objectives.
• Increase Net Order Intake (NOI), Net Revenue (NR), cash performance, and margin.
• Strengthen executive-level client relationships and stakeholder engagement.
• Grow and diversify client portfolios by identifying emerging opportunities.
• Develop accurate pipeline forecasts and support pursuit planning.
• Advance innovative commercial and delivery models that improve client outcomes and business performance.
• Support pricing, risk management, and commercial strategy decisions across key opportunities.
• Mentor and coach Account Managers to build capabilities across teams.
• Travel up to 50% for client meetings, project visits, conferences, leadership meetings, and business development.
