Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior integrated water resources planner or engineer to join our Water Resources team in Houston, Texas. Ideal candidates will have strong leadership experience and technical expertise in integrated planning for water supply, flood risk management, and environmental restoration.

The role offers a competitive compensation range of $100,000 to $195,000, along with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and a retirement savings plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of technical and/or field experience in complex environmental planning projects.
• Experience with environmental impact issues and associated permit processes.
• Self-starter attitude and active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct medium-to-large planning and environmental compliance projects for federal agencies.
• Prepare, plan, and analyze compliance documents.
• Direct the work of others to complete required studies, documents, and reports.
• Demonstrate public participation and agency coordination experience.
• Perform other duties as needed to support project delivery.

Skills

Technical and/or field experience in complex environmental planning projects

Proficiency with MS Office Suite

Excellent writing and communication skills

Strong conceptual and organizational skills

Problem-solving and research abilities

Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a closely related field
