Job summary

GZA is seeking a Project Manager/Technical Specialist in Water Resources in Norwood, MA. The role combines civil engineering leadership with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, GIS proficiency, and client relationship building. You will guide projects from planning through design, mentoring staff and coordinating with internal practice leads.

The position offers opportunities for growth, collaboration across offices, and a path toward senior leadership within a dynamic water resources team.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; master’s degree a plus.
• PE license in MA preferred with reciprocity to CT/NY/RI.
• 6–10 years of surface water hydrologic/hydraulic modeling experience (HEC-RAS 2D).
• Experience with NE public sector projects and design/bid documents.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform/hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for projects.
• Provide input for permit applications and reports.
• Lead project teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and client communications.
• Develop design drawings and technical specifications.
