Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Water Resources Engineer III-IV for our San Luis Obispo, California team. You will work on water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects, performing master planning, hydraulic modeling, and treatment system design.

The role emphasizes project leadership and client engagement. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D plus WaterCAD, InfoSWMM, and ArcGIS Pro.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
California professional registration preferred.
Minimum seven years of qualifying experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD / Civil 3D.
Strong understanding of relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in water and sewer modeling tools (WaterCAD, InfoSWMM, Aquanuity).
Experience with GIS databases, Atlas maps, and ArcGIS Pro.

Responsibilities

Prepare PS&E for water resources and civil projects.
Design municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and recycled water infrastructure.
Conduct master planning and hydraulic modeling for water systems.
Perform feasibility studies and designs for recycled water.
Design water distribution, pump stations, and sewer systems.
Develop water and wastewater treatment system designs.
Support permitting with regulatory agencies.
