Job summary
Otak is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to provide technical leadership on hydraulic engineering, stream restoration, and fish passage projects across Oregon and Washington. The role will guide planning, design, and delivery from our Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA offices within Otak's Water and Natural Resources team.
You will perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, prepare reports, construction documents, and cost estimates while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with emphasis on Water Resources or Hydraulic Engineering preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in hydraulic engineering.
- PE license is required.
- Experience with water resources models and hydraulic modeling.
- Proficient with MS Office, ArcGIS, AutoCAD or MicroStation.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical excellence and leadership in river/stream restoration and fish passage design.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
- Prepare construction documents, drawings, specs, and cost estimates.
- Develop design and permitting reports.
- Collect and analyze data for projects.
- Prepare studies and master plans.
- Develop scopes, schedules, and budgets for proposals.
- Lead construction engineering and observation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across Oregon and Washington.
