Job summary

Dewberry is hiring a Water Resources Engineer in our Gainesville, VA office. You will work on stormwater design, watershed planning, and dam safety projects with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• Experience in watershed and stormwater management and related design.
• Knowledge of VRRM regulations is preferred.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools and software.
• AutoCAD and ArcGIS experience is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deliverables using AutoCAD and ArcGIS platforms.
• Prepare surface water analyses using modeling tools.
• Conduct watershed and stormwater management planning and design.
• Prepare stormwater management plans and BMP facility design plans.
• Perform stream restoration / natural channel design.
• Perform roadway and site drainage design and culvert hydraulic analysis.
• Perform floodplain studies and FEMA LOMC applications.
• Perform dam safety engineering/analysis and related studies.
• Perform watershed flood hazard analyses and remediation designs.
• Mentor entry-level engineers as a technical resource.
• Perform other duties as required.
