The role of the Senior Water Resources Engineer is to lead teams on small and large projects, as well as be a team member. You will perform a variety of tasks which may include business development, project management, design and analysis of water conveyance systems, coordination of tasks and personnel, occasional field work, quality control, and mentoring junior staff. The projects may have complex features that will require the application of mature knowledge and experience. You will lead the proposed projects to ensure accurate hydraulic analysis, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Projects may include flood plain management, hydrology and hydraulics (H&H), floodplain modeling and mapping, environmental restoration, and stormwater infrastructure design with the goals of:
As Senior Water Resources Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of successful water resources projects by helping develop cost-effective, practical designs and construction solutions for our clients. You will interact internally throughout the organization with staff at all levels as well as clients, members of professional organizations, subcontractors, and other firms. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
