Job summary

Woolpert is hiring a Project Engineer/Task Leader to join our Water Team in the United States. The role focuses on technical delivery on water projects and on budgeting, planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for specific project phases.

The position requires a 6+ year background in civil or biosystems engineering, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead a technical staff while ensuring quality and schedule adherence. Base pay ranges from 85,000 to 120,000 USD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Biosystems, or related engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to interface effectively with clients, team members, and firm resources.
• Task and personnel management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support phases of water/wastewater/stormwater projects from client communication to deliverable generation.
• Lead a team of technical staff to create deliverables meeting scope, schedule and budget.
• Manage project phases to meet QA/QC requirements.
• Perform field work as needed.
• Analyze and present water quality data to clients in a clear format.
• Meet internal and external project deadlines.
• Escalate issues affecting schedule, budget or quality to project leadership.
• Support stormwater design projects considering local regulatory requirements and standards.
• Analyze stormwater model results for project development and capital planning.
