Job summary

ewi Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Water) to lead major water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Charlotte, NC. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, coordinate design and construction activities, and ensure delivery on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement with clients, regulators and contractors, plus solid knowledge of project governance, risk management and procurement strategies.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience managing major water, wastewater or related infrastructure projects, ideally in a regulated or complex delivery environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A relevant degree or professional qualification in engineering, project management, construction or related discipline; membership of a professional body is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, risk registers and procurement strategies.
• Oversee feasibility, design development, consenting and construction activities.
• Monitor progress and performance against milestones; provide reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Lead project governance, contract administration and change control processes.
• Promote health, safety, environmental and quality standards across all project stages.
• Mentor and support less experienced project managers and delivery professionals.
