Job summary

NW Natural Water is seeking a Senior Water Engineer to provide advanced engineering and leadership for major capital improvement projects in Portland, Oregon. The role covers concept through closeout with extensive coordination of consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a PE, 8+ years of experience in water-related project delivery, and proven ability to manage scope, schedules, budgets, and risk in a complex utility environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Eight or more years of progressively responsible engineering and capital project-delivery experience.
• Certification as a Professional Engineer, or ability to obtain certification within six months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead major capital improvement projects and multiple projects of moderate scope with complex features through design, procurement, construction, and closeout.
• Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and risk for complex assignments.
• Lead coordination among internal and external project participants, and provide technical guidance and project leadership.
