Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead teams in designing water treatment facilities across the Southeast U.S. The role involves signing and sealing drawings as the engineer-of-record and collaborating with sales on RFPs.

Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, conducting site reviews, and mentoring junior staff. Travel may be required; PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to design and deliver water treatment facilities and related water infrastructure.
• Sign and seal construction drawings as engineer-of-record.
• Review designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; sign off on completed designs.
• Perform site reviews to ensure designs align with location specifications.
• Develop white papers and technical design documentation for new or special designs.
