The City of Riverside is seeking a Senior Water Engineer in the Water Engineering - Development Services Division. The role supports development-related municipal water projects, from entitlement to inspection, and requires California PE licensure.

Candidates should have a civil or mechanical engineering degree and several years of water utility experience. A master’s degree is highly desirable, and the city offers competitive benefits and a formal selection process.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering required; four years of professional water engineering experience.
Registration in California as a Professional Engineer is required for the Senior Engineer class.
Five years of experience in water utility engineering or equivalent in Riverside.
Experience managing water development projects through entitlement, plan review, fees, construction and inspection.
Experience with water rules and rates and plan checks of water utility plans.
Master's degree in a field related to water utility engineering is highly desirable.

Mansioni

Study technical, environmental, and economic feasibility for municipal facilities.
Prepare contracts and specifications for engineering and construction services.
Plan and manage projects, including major engineering initiatives.
Develop and update engineering directives and standard specifications and procedures.
Review hydraulic analyses and project justification reports.
Provide background information for management decisions on major projects.
Advise junior staff and supervise as needed.
Perform independent technical problem solving with minimal supervision.
