Join us as a Senior Water Engineer at GHD

We are seeking a motivated Senior Water Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater group in St. Louis, MO. This role involves supporting projects in water resources, treatment, conveyance, hydraulics, and hydrology.

As the frequency and intensity of floods, droughts, and storms increase, the water industry must build resilience and lead change. Join our diverse team of water specialists to make a positive impact on communities and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design calculations, data analysis, and review design calculations.
• Lead or support project teams for treatment facility studies, design, and construction.
• Develop treatment facility layouts with CAD designers.
• Conduct water planning studies, including integrated water management and One Water principles.
• Perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.
• Prepare technical reports and conduct client site visits.
• Develop and review QA/QC programs and assist in project scheduling.
• Travel regionally to project sites as needed.
• Serve as task lead, manage budgets and schedules, and support marketing activities.
• Provide guidance to graduate engineers.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with water infrastructure projects; licensed Professional Engineer (Missouri preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in water resources management, treatment, and conveyance.
• Experience in project scope, schedule, and budget development.
• Strong technical writing, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Client management, grant/proposal writing, and staff supervisory experience are a plus.
