Job summary

Aligned Data Centers is seeking a Lead Reliability Engineer for Water Chemistry to serve as the expert for closed and open-loop water treatment, metallurgy, and corrosion prevention across Aligned's fleet. This role bridges Site Operations and Platform Delivery, translating water data into mandates for dosing architectures and vendor protocols.

The position drives forensic analysis, engineering change control, and fleet-wide compliance to safeguard reliability, efficiency, and asset life cycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in industrial water treatment, cooling tower chemistry, or similar environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate chemical risks to executives and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead forensic data analysis during critical fleet incidents and guide corrective actions.
• Govern vendor performance and standardize water chemistry program requirements.
• Integrate engineering design changes and prevent corrosion in new systems.
• Audit fleet-wide water chemistry parameters and escalate deviations.
• Partner with Advanced Cooling Lab to validate new formulations before rollout.
