Senior Wastewater Technologist – Austin, Texas
Exciting opportunity for someone in the Austin area to support the College Station Water Design Center (WDC)! This role will be based out of our Austin office with some travel to our College Station Water Design Center.
You will play an integral part in leading wastewater process direction, design and decision making in our Water Design Center, region, and across the Garver Water footprint. You will take a lead process role ranging from client interaction and project pursuit to conceptual level process work including modeling and master planning, and through final design as it is warranted on projects in our Central region, as well as across our Garver footprint. You will help grow Garver’s Process engineering capabilities.
Some travel will be required as part of this position. Most travel will be within the Central region, as necessary based on project work. Because this position is not located in College Station, regular travel to the WDC will be expected to maintain continuity with the design team. This is anticipated to be one to two days every couple weeks and may change depending on circumstances. Travel will also be anticipated for business development purposes, including proposal development, interviews, knowledge transfer sessions, and industry related conference attendance. Project specific travel may also be required for site assessments, project workshops, design review meetings, and support during construction.
The College Station Water Design Center will be a knowledge‑based hub that excels in highly technical, multi‑discipline water and wastewater designs for clients in Garver’s central footprint, as well as across the country as necessary. The Center will specialize in large, high‑volume, custom treatment plant projects with conventional and advanced technologies. A centralized WDC requires constant communication, coordination, and participation with team members, benefiting the client through project delivery schedule and design quality, as well as the engineer’s opportunity for team collaboration and professional growth.
