Job summary

Alliance Technical Group is seeking an experienced civil/environmental engineer to lead wastewater and site design projects. This senior role involves independent problem solving, delivering engineering documents, and guiding other engineers.

Primary focus on wastewater engineering with civil site design responsibilities, across disciplines. PE license and SC licensure readiness are valued, with an emphasis on practical solutions and client coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Professional Engineer license with the ability to obtain South Carolina licensure.
• At least eight years of relevant engineering experience with design responsibility.
• Strong background in wastewater engineering and/or civil site design.
• Ability to take a project from evaluation to completed engineering documents with limited oversight.
• Experience preparing and reviewing calculations, drawings, specs, and reports.
• Familiarity with design standards and permitting requirements.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering evaluations, calculations, design, and preparation of plans, specs, and reports.
• Evaluate wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment systems and develop improvements.
• Support civil site design including grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Prepare and review documents supporting permitting and regulatory approvals.
• Exercise independent engineering judgment and provide technical review of work.
• Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and project professionals.
• Develop scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and manage assignments.
• Conduct site visits and support construction through clarifications and reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure consistent technical quality.
• Collaborate with environmental scientists, geologists, and other specialists.
