Job summary

Fehr Graham is seeking a Wastewater Practice Lead in Illinois to influence how work is won, how projects are delivered, and how the next generation of engineers develops. You will guide complex wastewater projects from planning through construction, mentor teams, and build lasting client relationships.

You’ll lead design standards, regulatory compliance and strategic pursuits, with a focus on applying your 10+ years of wastewater experience to strengthen the practice and grow the team.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of wastewater experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer license is required.
• Knowledge of Illinois EPA regulations and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex wastewater treatment, collection and pumping projects from planning through construction.
• Serve as a trusted technical resource for clients and project teams across the firm.
• Guide treatment process design, permitting, regulatory compliance and quality reviews.
• Establish practical design standards and improve project delivery.
• Mentor and develop wastewater engineers and project managers.
• Build and sustain relationships with municipal and industrial clients.
• Support strategic pursuits aligning with firm growth.
• Help Fehr Graham stay ahead of regulatory changes and industry trends.
