Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Wastewater Operator IV to join our Facilities Maintenance team in Des Moines, IA. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 1st shift, with overtime possibly required based on customer demand.

The role involves monitoring and adjusting process treatment equipment, lab testing, chemical handling, and general housekeeping to ensure smooth plant operations. The candidate will operate the wastewater treatment plant, follow SOPs, support audits, collect samples, perform in-plant tests,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Four years of experience as a Wastewater Treatment Operator.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains the industrial wastewater treatment plant.
• Monitors alarms, data dashboards, and diagnostics to ensure proper operation and takes corrective action.
• Collects samples and conducts in-plant tests to control processes and operations.
• Performs routine maintenance on pumps and chemical feed equipment and maintains safety procedures.
