Castelion Corporation is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Warhead Integration & Test in our LA manufacturing site. You will lead assembly, integration, and testing of warhead components, ensuring compliant, high-quality production from prototype to LRIP and beyond.

You will apply deep knowledge of energetic materials and propellant processes to develop scalable manufacturing methods, drive continuous improvement, and support safety and regulatory requirements across complex defense

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree required with 7+ years in manufacturing engineering for aerospace or defense hardware.
• 4+ years supporting warhead, munitions, or energetic-systems integration and test.
• Experience transitioning warhead hardware from prototype through LRIP to production.
• Direct work on DoD warhead programs or hypersonic systems is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead warhead assembly, integration, and functional test processes for explosive loading, fuze integration, arming/safing mechanisms, and missile-interface mating.
• Develop and execute integration and test plans for component-level to full-warhead verification, including NDI, leak testing, electrical continuity, and safe-arm validation.
• Design and qualify production tooling, fixtures, automated work cells, and test stands for explosive handling, potting, and environmental stress screening.
• Execute DFM, PFMEA, control plans, and SPC to drive high first-pass yield and reduce cycle time.
• Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions for integration/test failures using 8D, fault-tree, and FRACAS; support MRB/FRB and safety reviews.
• Author and maintain manufacturing work instructions, test procedures, travelers, and quality records aligned with AS9100 and MIL specs.
• Scale production lines from prototype to high-rate manufacturing, including capacity modeling and facility layout.
• Collaborate with suppliers on energetic materials and fuze components; implement incoming inspection and supplier quality improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement and technology insertion for next-generation propulsion programs.
