Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Warehouse Technician for second shift, 9 AM–5:30 PM in Sterling, VA. You will ship, receive and store materials, label articles for identification, retrieve stored items, and transfer them as required.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of related warehouse experience. An active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one (1) year of related warehouse experience.
• Active Secret clearance or the ability and willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Ships, receives and stores materials in a warehouse or storage facility.
• Marks or tags articles for identification.
• Retrieves stored material and transports it to the requester and returns it to storage as required.
• Develops and maintains effective warehouse storage practices for efficient storage, identification and retrieval.
• Maintains warehouse and shipping records; may use automated warehouse management system.
• May operate hand and power equipment, including forklift, for material handling.
• Participates in special projects as required.
