Givens Incorporated is seeking a Senior Warehouse Operations Manager to lead the Chesapeake campus, overseeing daily warehouse and distribution activities, driving productivity, and developing high-performing teams. The role focuses on safe, cost-effective operations and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, strong experience in high-volume warehousing, and a track record of implementing process improvements using Lean or Six Sigma principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Minimum seven years of warehouse or distribution leadership experience.
• Experience managing high-volume warehouse operations.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory, shipping, receiving, and distribution processes.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams.
• Experience with WMS/ERP and MS Office.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping and returns.
• Ensure accurate, efficient inventory movement meeting productivity and service goals.
• Develop warehouse strategies to support growth and excellence.
• Monitor staffing, workflow and labor utilization to maximize efficiency.
• Coach and develop warehouse supervisors and staff.
• Foster safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with HR on recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and company safety policies.
• Lead safety meetings, audits and corrective actions.
• Oversee inventory accuracy via cycle counts and audits.
• Collaborate with transportation, procurement, customer service and supply chain teams to improve flow.
• Identify and implement Lean/Six Sigma improvements.
• Analyze KPIs: productivity, inventory accuracy, shipping, labor, safety.
• Manage budgets, labor planning and operational expenses.
• Utilize WMS/ERP and reporting tools for visibility and efficiency.
• Support automation initiatives and technology implementation.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Operations Manager to lead warehouse and distribution operations at our Chesapeake campus. • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and reporting tools to improve visibility and efficiency.
• Support warehouse automation initiatives, technology implementation, and operational optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of warehouse or distribution leadership experience.
• Experience managing high‑volume warehouse or distribution operations.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, receiving, and distribution processes.
• Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing teams.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
• Multi‑site warehouse leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience leading warehouse automation or optimization projects is preferred.
